Sabbatical Fund

✨ The Sabbatical Fund for Black Women Who Need to Rest

Because rest is not a reward—it’s a requirement.

The You Deserve to Live Sabbatical Fund was created to support Black women who are experiencing burnout and need extended time off—but can’t afford to take it. We know how hard it is to carry work, family, and community all at once, and how rare it is to find time to simply breathe. This fund is a small act of redistribution, care, and belief that your well-being matters now.

Every month, 20% of proceeds from the Burnout Survival Guide will go directly toward micro-sabbatical grants for Black women who need a pause to reset. Whether you're taking one week, two weeks, or a full month off—this fund is for you.

📝 How to Apply

Submit a short message (500 words or less) using the comment form or email blackcollarflow@gmail.com with the subject line: Sabbatical Fund Application – [Your Name]

Your message should include:

  1. Why You Need the Time Off
What does burnout look like for you right now? Be real. What toll is it taking on your health or happiness?
  2. Proof of Unpaid Time Off
A screenshot or brief confirmation from your employer (or a note explaining your self-employed situation) showing the time you’ll be away without pay.
  3. Your Plan for the Time Off
How will you use the time to reset? It doesn’t have to be fancy—just honest. Rest counts. So does healing, solitude, sleep, therapy, writing, or doing nothing at all.

The first distribution will be in December 2026 (or when we reach $3,000 goal).

Priority will be given to those who purchased the guide and shared how it’s helped.

You deserve to rest. We see you. And we’re rooting for your recovery.
